We have been approached by Sherborne Abbey gift shop, wondering if we could supply them with some coaster tiles, having seen our work in Winchester Cathedral. We agreed on the artwork, and we have now made 8 stamps to produce the tiles with. Some of the original tiles and drawings are shown below.

Then it was down to the business of stamping.

We tidied all the images and searched through our own books for the correct images, and sent them back for approval

As promised, here they are scraped!

Just realised, I’ve missed the deer tile.

Below is an image of the stamps we produced, complete with repairs

And then slipping.

I’ll come back and show you more once they are scraped, bisque fired and glazed

Why not drop in if you’re in the area. The Abbey is open for public visiting Monday to Saturday 8.00 am until 5.00 pm and Sundays between 11.00 am and 5.00 pm, unless services are taking place. Here is the website. https://www.sherborneabbey.com/ I’m sure it will be wonderful, they always are.

Whoops! I’m so sorry I forgot to take a photo of them bisque fired.

Maybe next time! Anyway, here are all the 8 Sherborne tiles, glazed
